General Considerations 

  • Benign cartilaginous tumor
  • Develops in the medullary cavity
  • Usually solitary, although they can occur as multiple lesions in syndromes to be discussed
  • Arise from ectopic rests of hyaline cartilage
  • Occur mostly in 2nd to 3rd decade
